It’s the first thing you do in the morning and the last thing you do at night – I personally think it’s a bloody chore at the best of times – but yes this blog post is all about brushing your teeth! Before anyone comments to tell me that I should be brushing after breakfast, first of all I don’t even eat breakfast (intermittent fasting for the win) and secondly my dentist told me not to because of the germs that are in our mouths for the whole night which we shouldn’t be consuming – but feel free to research and make your own choices!
Moving on, as much as I dislike brushing my teeth (especially at night when you just want to get into bed), it’s so important to be brushing at least twice a day. My dentist actually wanted me to brush after every meal, but who’s got time for that?! (Oh wait, all of us because we’re in lockdown with literally nothing else to do, duhhhh).
I find that having the best tools helps you do the best job when it comes to brushing my teeth. My toothbrush was a Christmas present (mentioned here) and it’s the Oral B Genius 9000 in the colour Rose Gold (which is so unnecessary but highly bougie) and it does a brilliant job.
The second tool is the toothpaste. My family and I have used the Colgate brand for years and years, so when they got in touch to collaborate for this blog post, it was a real dream come true! The product’s official name is the Colgate Total Pump toothpaste. It’s such an affordable toothpaste but also does an amazing job. It always leaves my mouth feeling clean and fresh which is not always a given with other brands! I find their flavourings to be very mild (no-one needs spicy toothpaste, #ifyouknowyouknow). The pump just makes things a lot easier too, I know it might be a minor thing to some people to have to use a normal tube but when you’re a zombie at 7am, a little pump makes a lotta difference!
Overall I’m really enjoying using this toothpaste, it’s affordable and does its job – what more could I ask for?!
Have you ever used Colgate before? What did you think?
