For anyone who is new around here (hiii welcome, please read my About Me page here) you might not know that I write about what I got for Christmas quite often (read my 2016, 2017 and 2018 posts) because I love reading them back on my own blog and I especially love reading other peoples’ posts because I’m so nosy and it also gives me ideas for presents!
I’m going to try and link everything I can find online or similar things if I can’t find the originals! I’ve also split the presents up into categories to try and make it easier if you’re looking for something specific.
The first pair of shoes I got were these classic Converse. I’ve worn the shit out my previous pair, to the point where I had holes at the front (not much fun walking in the rain trust me) so I was really happy with these classic beauties! They go with everything and I know I get so much wear out of them.
I have been asking for a pair of flat black over-the-knee boots for ages, so I was super excited to open these on Christmas morning. I’ve already worn them and they go so well with jeans and floaty dresses, perfect for work and casual outfits. What I really like about them is that they fit really well on my legs (nothing worse than over-the-knee boots that sag am-i-rite?!).
These trainers are an absolute dream on my feet, I cannot recommend them enough! They are so comfortable and easy to wear, they go with everything and I know I’m going to get a lot of use out of them. Also don’t be jealous but my boyfriend has the same pair so we’re going to be matching (he’s going to love that!).
Not sure if this really counts as shoes but you wear them on your feet so basically the same thing? These slippers are the possibly the comfiest things ever, the set came with an eye-mask which is also super soft.
I got a good few books for Christmas which is very handy as I have set myself the challenge of reading 75 books this year (follow me on Goodreads to see how I get on with the challenge!) and I was lucky enough to receive an array of different types of books so that will certainly keep me busy! Usually my favourite types of books are fictional thrillers and romance, so the majority of books that I received were very different in comparison to that.
I won’t go through each book individually as I haven’t read any of them yet! I’m most excited to read ‘The Move’ as it looks like a thriller and right up my street. I also loved Adam Kay’s debut novel ‘This Is Going To Hurt’ so I’m excited to read this second follow up.
I have also included the two notebooks that I received. I love Harry Potter (proud Ravenclaw right here) so this adorable Marauder’s Map notebook was super cute. I also received a gratitude journal from my sister, I really want to try and use it this year because I think it would be a great way to feel grateful for everything that happens in my life this year, but also a lovely way to reflect at the end of the year too.
Beauty / Skincare
Christmas is so good for me in terms of beauty bits because I don’t buy a lot for myself in this department so I have fully stocked up on some necessary things (I say necessary, an eyeshadow palette definitely wasn’t needed but it’s so pretty!). As well as the gorgeous palette, my sister got me a personalised Kiko lipstick which is such a pretty colour and such a nice idea, I can’t wait to use it!
I needed a new perfume and I love Armani scents, so I will be saving this for a special occasion. I’d never tried anything from Sunday Riley before so I was really excited to receive these lovely mini products, which included a mini serum and a facial oil, both of which smell divine. I also received these gorgeous Body Mists from the Fearne Cotton collection that she released for her amazing podcast Happy Place (so good, go and listen if you don’t already!). The set included a sleep mist which I will definitely be using when I can’t sleep.
One thing I can use whilst I sleep is this beautiful sleep mask. It has 5-6 uses which is handy and smells amazing. Very useful time-saver too ha! For when you have puffy eyes, I received these cooling eye pads from Sephora, I love Sephora products and seeing as we don’t have Sephora in the UK, it makes it a bit more special. I also got this lovely little shower cap / turban to wear in the shower when I’m not washing my hair.
These are all of the things I received that didn’t fit into the categories above. Firstly I love receiving experiences, and this is possibly my favourite experience to date because I bloody love Dim Sum and a cooking experience is just so exciting! I also received some games which was so exciting, we played some of these on NYE so it was perfect, and HP + Friends are two of my favourite things.
I also received a reading light which I actually love, I always read in bed after turning the light off in my room and my lamp is quite dull so I needed an extra brighter light. Life saver! I got two pairs of fluffy Christmas socks, love receiving socks for Christmas and these were so cute! Lastly, I received an anklet from my sister from her recent trip to South Africa, it was so cute and unexpected, I’ll be wearing this a lot in the summer!
That was everything I received for Christmas this year, I hope you enjoyed reading this post as much as I enjoyed writing it! If you have a similar post, please let me know as I’d love to read it.
What was your favourite Christmas present?
