Obviously I’m a huge fan of Christmas, but even I couldn’t commit to the monstrosity that is Blogmas (mad props to anyone who attempts and smashes it!), so I thought I would do a few festive posts over my favourite month of the year, starting off with a event that I was so excited about!
I was invited by MoonPig to attend a Christmas event which I was so excited about! I’ve used MoonPig countless times in the past, most often for their personalised cards but occasionally for flowers and chocolates too, because it’s so convenient and easy when it’s all in one place!
Upon arrival, we were given pornstar martinis (so dangerous, they tasted like juice!), and snacks were provided too. There was a short presentation (nothing kills an event than a long presentation) about MoonPig and their Christmas campaign for this year (#HeartfeltWithMoonPig) and then we were divided up into small groups to participate in three different festive activities. MoonPig also gave us a gift of a Christmas Spice candle and some Prosecco flavour tablets which I cannot wait to use!
The first activity was flower arranging, which was possibly my favourite of the three. I had so much fun! I’ve never done anything like it before, but it was really nice to line up the flowers so that they all stood up in the jars that were provided and made them look super pretty. Check out MoonPig’s flowers here.
The second activity was cocktail-making, which I’ve had plenty of experience with! We made three different cocktails:
- a gingerbread mojito: rum, mint, lime, gingerbread syrup, soda
- port of call: gin, port, cranberry sauce, cinnamon syrup
- Christmapolitan: amaretti, lime, cranberry juice, champagne
The Christmapolitan was definitely my favourite of the night, it was so delicious and definitely something I would order in a bar! The bartender had a lot of flair as expected, which made the whole experience really fun. MoonPig sell a variety of gifts including alcohol, check it out here.
The third and final experience was MoonPig’s photo booth, where we had to strike a pose in front of a green screen and choose props and backgrounds to make ourselves our very own Christmas card! It was so much fun, I chose to don a Santa hat and clink glasses with MoonPig’s Santa Clause (pretty sure it was Keith from Accounts), and my card came out beautifully. You can check out their cards here.
This event left me feeling super festive! What makes you feel festive and are you doing any shopping from MoonPig this Christmas?
